In this video, senior product manager for Photoshop, Bryan O’Neil Hughes gives us a sneak peak first look at the all new Photoshop CS6 which is coming out later this year. By the looks of things, there are some exciting new things coming out way!
It’s not often that I get to write that NAPP (National Association of Photoshop Professional) is taking a tour to Europe. In this case, it is my pleasure to remind you that Scott Kelby is taking his awesome Light It. Shoot It. Retouch It. LIVE! tour to Europe in August. He’ll be in Cologne, Germany on August 10 and Amsterdam, Netherlands on August 12. Guess what though, there are still seats left for you to come there! Last time I checked, flights are still available for OK prices as well as hotels in both cities from a variety of cities around Europe.
I will of course join at the Cologne event, going down there August 9-11 and am looking forward to seeing Scott here in Europe. If you are joining us in Cologne, I am very positive that you will get to see Calvin Hollywood and if you visit the Amsterdam event, Frank Doorhof should be around too!
See you in Cologne, or, if you can’t make it there, have fun in Amsterdam!

Back when Adobe announced CS5.5 on April 11, they also showed off some brand new iPad applications that interact with Photoshop as part of the new Photoshop SDK. These may just be example apps to show off the functionality of the SDK, but they are pretty darn cool and all of them are available in the iTunes App Store today.
- Adobe Eazel: Paint on the iPad and access it through Photoshop.
- Adobe Nav: Use the iPad as a tool selector for Photoshop.
- Adobe Color Lava: Blend custom colors together for use in Photoshop.
I’ve been playing around a lot lately with wallpaper effects and especially color spectrum effects, mainly because I think the color spectrum is very pleasing to the eye and makes for some very cool effects. I am also very fascinated by the patterns and effects that you get by experimenting in real-life with a spectrum. Plus, these effects make for very good Photoshop tutorials.
The wallpaper above is available for free download (just click on it to get the full resolution). If you would rather take a stab at doing it yourself, I’ll have a video tutorial online over at Bernskiold Learning on Monday to show you just how to pull it off!
